Kevin - Paintbrawl, High Impact CD-ROMS

So your all ready to go paintballing when all the sudden it starts to rain, snow, and lightning(doesn't happen too often). What do you do? If your like me I have to get rid of my need to go paintballing, so instead I play a couple of games on the computer. There are two paintball CD-ROMS that I am aware of. Paintbrawl and High Impact.

Paintbrawl is absolutly the worst game ever, infact I would have to say the funnest part about the game is buying the guns. The first bad thing you will notice is the horrible music. It is kind of a blend of country, rock and roll, and barnyard sounds. All playing their own solos. The actual interface isn't that bad. There is a section to buy supplies, practice and play. The practice section is a joke, although not too funny. You walk around the levels alone with a PGP and shoot at stuff if you want. Now to the game. There is only one type, capture the flag. First you start out with your teammates at your base. They will quickly find a way to get stuck on some walls. Then you go start shooting(without sound), you will see the other team walking up but your paintballs will either disappear in the air, or break on invisible walls and the break will just float there. Even if you are right behind them you cant shoot them. The only good thing about this game is that if you get shot you switch to another teammate.

High Impact is probably my favorite game on the computer. There is an option of 5 or so different games: seige, free for all, speedball, capture the flag, and their might be one more. You get to chose your character, buy a gun, co2,a sight, and a hopper; the only bad thing about this is you cant earn money to buy all the best. When you play the games your teammate wont get stuck, they might hit one person at the most, but thats better than getting stuck. You can crouch, run, and taunt while you play. The playing feilds are pretty realistic, they have bunkers and even schoolbuses and stuff. The graphics are pretty good too.

I wouldn't even use paintbrawl to stop my chair from wobbling, however I actually like high impact.
